This 4U rack-optimized SunFire 280R system containsĀ RAS (reliability, availability, serviceability) features and is perfect in high-performance computing environments where data center space is at a premium.
It includes Fibre Channel disk drives, remote system controls for remote management, and redundant, front-accessible, hot-swappable power supplies, with independent power cords. It also includes the Sun Fireplane interconnect, which supports an internal throughput of up to 4.8 Gbps.
